At its recent board meeting, the CCCA Board of Directors recognized Kevin St. Cyr’s commitment and leadership as CCCA’s first Chairman. Presenting the award was Kevin Ressler of Tyco Electronics, the current CCCA Chairman. Mr. Ressler said “As one following in Kevin’s footsteps, I know what a challenge it was to form and govern CCCA from the outset. Kevin’s steady guidance was instrumental in establishing CCCA as the voice of the Structured Cabling industry.”
In accepting the award, Mr. St Cyr stated, “This award is an unexpected honor to be shared with other board members who also put their full support behind CCCA. I am especially proud that, in a short period of time, the association has grown to achieve a critical mass of members and industry presence allowing us to accomplish our mission.”
CCCA, a non-profit corporation formed in 2007, has a mission to serve as the major resource for well researched, fact-based information on the technologies and products of structured cabling media to support current and future needs of the networking, IT and communications industries. CCCA also is proactive at codes and standards bodies and other trade, industry and governmental organizations in communicating and influencing policy and decisions affecting the quality, performance and societal needs of the structured cabling infrastructure.
