Washington, DC (February 21, 2013) John Featherston, account manager at NET IG in Kent, Washington, is the winner of CCCA’s CableCheck™ Game and iPad Mini prize. The game was designed to help inform the industry about fire safety compliance for communications cables.
Featherston, who enjoyed testing his knowledge on the subject through the game, has followed the CCCA from its inception. “I like to keep my finger on the pulse of the industry by staying informed through professional organizations such as CCCA,” says Featherston, “and being aware of various issues in order to pass the info on to the contractors we deal with.” NET IG works with many Fortune 500 customers in the Northwest to design physical layer infrastructure solutions,
specializing in data centers.
“In addition to educating the industry about fire safety issues in a fun way, entrants’ answers in the game were also informative to CCCA, by showing us which issues may need further attention in our future communications,” states Frank Peri, executive director of CCCA.
The winner was chosen randomly from hundreds of entrants in the U.S., Canada, and several other countries, who played the game through the CCCA newsletter, website, CI&M newsletter, and in person at BICSI in Tampa. It was so successful, CCCA is considering doing a similar version in the future.
